Let’s begin healing.

By providing a safe, contemplative space to capture pivotal moments of your own reflection, I hope our time helps you see more of you with more beauty, dignity, and love.

Over the course of 2 hours together, we’ll process whatever you're comfortable sharing & exploring. This could be a big life event, what you're feeling, an idea you've been pondering, a narrative you've been wrestling with, or a debilitating story you'd like to hold with a new perspective. Throughout our time, I'll be capturing pivotal moments of your self reflections for you to hold and look back on. Ideally, these images serve as mile markers of growth & hopeful reminders that wellness is possible.

At the end of our time, I encourage you to write your own thoughts, so they can be compared with my own poetic reflections & images to come.

I always try my very best to provide a safe, confidential space to capture pivotal moments of your own reflection. In some ways you can think of this as a “guided self portrait” to spur growth & reflection.

Let’s memorialized what happened with love & hope.

With a mobile portrait studio setup in a van aptly named after my Grandpa Elmer, I initially planned this trip to tour my photo book, Walking from Home. On the road however, I was met with hoards of past trauma needing to be unpacked.

Much like the unforeseen creation of Walking from Home, this first van trip morphed into another beast entirely. The open road, mobile Therapeutic Portraits at the side of the van, & sharing the story behind Walking from Home became my starting place for a new hope.

Take a glimpse at what caught my eye, as I processed how to heal my past & reconnect with the present with love, peace, & belonging.
