"Quartz Circle" Cassette Tape
$15.00

This cassette includes an exclusive poetic overview of the album, where each song title creates a line within a greater story. This poem is only found inside these sleeves! Every tape is numbered. Four color variations are available, all inspired by the eccentric paint of Ezra’s childhood home.

Backyard Castles, an ambient music group created by Ezra Bram and Miles Jenkins, is stoked to release their first album together. As a master’s student in the process of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, Ezra honed in on the emotional foundation of the project. As a well seasoned, professional musician steeped in jazz, Miles crafted each musical expression to feel authentic, vulnerable, and meaningful.

Quartz Circle is meant to commemorate the piano in the basement of Ezra's childhood home. The music extends beyond personal memories and welcomes each lister to explore their own ambiguous experiences, dynamics, and relationships from childhood. We encourage listeners to dedicate 45 minutes to uninterrupted listening with a journal, as this is meant to be a seamless experience that helps you process your own past.

About Quartz Circle:

Backyard Castles, an ambient music project created by Ezra Bram and Miles Jenkins, are preparing to share their first album. As a master’s student in the process of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, Ezra honed in on the emotional foundation of the project. As a well seasoned musician steeped in jazz, Miles crafted each musical expression to feel authentic, vulnerable, and meaningful.

Quartz Circle is meant to commemorate the piano the basement of Ezra’s childhood home. The music extends beyond these personal memories and welcomes each lister to explore their own ambiguous experiences, dynamics, and relationships from childhood.

The heart of this album was fueled by our own reckoning with regret, grief, abandonment, neglect, and insecurity. This work reflects Ezra’s personal journey of integrating younger versions of himself that he abandoned, deemed unworthy, and rejected somewhere along the path of leaving home.

Welcome to our reckoning with bringing a painful past into a loving present.

We are curating this event to be an inspiring experience that helps you see more of you with love, hope, and clarity. Our desire is to welcome you into a reflective space that allows you to process your own experiences and create opportunties for you to expand awareness about any potentially unmet emotional wounds.

We understand how this can sound a bit overwhelming or intimidating, or even a bit unexpected for an album release party. If this happens to be the case for you, remember that you are welcome to come as you are and be as present as you’re able.

This album encapsulates nostalgia and unfettered innocence, while offering a space to explore your own internal world. Come and join us for a beautiful evening of peace, reflection, inspiration, and loving company.

We can’t wait to share this experience with you! <3
